Bringing S3 data into the analysis:

Using the PRTU function in BBG, we can create a custom TARIFFS basket of these 20 stocks and import into S3 Black App

One can clearly see the increase in short interest across the basket since Trump was elected POTUS, rising from 1.9% to >2.5% today.

The > > Breakdown on the right side sorts the current SI % Float of each member, from largest to smallest.

*Note: AMZN does give the basket a downward bias due to the high SI notional. A user can always create their own basket w/ different criteria (ex AMZN)

We should also analyze our TARIFFS basket in the Screener Tool and see the largest changes in SI % Float over the same timeframe.

Here we can clearly see the specific securities where short interest has been trending higher, to show the “leading” shorts in the basket.
